Spring Book Fair is
here! The weather has been
terrible and looking at the forecast next week, we are in for more of the
same. What would be better than a
warm drink, a comfortable chair and good book? Please come out on Saturday to Barnes and Noble in Deer Park
and support Woodlawn’s PTO by buying a book, magazine, calendar, etc. We have a full slate of activities for
people to see and experience.
Listed below are the people and groups who will be attending. Bring the entire family, it is a great
way to spend a couple of hours.

Schedule process for
the 2013-14 school year
Schedule is an often
times complex and difficult process.
If there is a specific concern or request that you have for your
student, please e-mail me at ggrana@kcsd96.org.
This response applies to anyone
making a request…”We do not make any promises when it comes to specific
requests, but we will see if the request works within the confines of the
scheduling process”.
STANDARDS-BASED
REPORT CARD SURVEY RESULTS
Soon after
Trimester 2 report cards were posted, we sent out a survey to seek your input
on the new reporting format. Here is a sample of the survey results.
Seventy-nine (79)
parents across D96 responded. The first 3 questions were on a scale (1=strongly
disagree to 5=strongly agree), and the final question asked for any comments.
Please see below for the results:
We greatly
appreciate the comments you shared, as well. They truly help us reflect upon our work to continue moving forward with standards-based reporting. Those
comments with specific questions or requests for follow up will be addressed as
soon as possible via email. As always, should you wish to discuss with either
Mr. Murphy or myself, please feel free to call or email.
Have a great weekend!
Mr. Grana
