June 1, 2012

We had a blast today!

Beginning with a PTO sponsored assembly, our students were wowed by the athleticism from the Jesse White Tumblers.   They brought their ariel stunts and positive messages to our school and entertained each of our grade levels.

Lunch was also provided by the PTO today.  Hot Dog Day was a huge success, and we all enjoyed this special lunch.

8th grade students had their awards assembly today, along with graduation practice and yearbook signing.  Congratulations to Kate Liebl and Allison Mueting on being named the Superintendent Award winners for this school year.  Kate & Allie will be giving a graduation speech this coming Tuesday night at Stevenson High School.

Speaking of graduation...our graduation is a celebration for our students and it is a dignified ceremony.  I am asking everyone to handle this evening with class and not draw attention to themselves.  Anyone who is obnoxious will be removed.  I would think that this goes without saying but noise makers, whistles, blow horns, bells or any other foolish device is prohibited and will have you escorted out of the building.  Here is the message I asked your children to bring to you:

1) It is a dignified ceremony-appropriate behavior is expected by all family members.
2) Do not arrive at Stevenson before 7:15p.m.  Twin Groves has the early graduation this year and they will not be leaving the building before 7:15p.m.
3) Tell your parents which side of the stage you will be facing so that your parents know where to sit.
